Dear Dr. Diamond,

I wanted to let you know that our wonderful cat "Felix", has passed away after a satisfying life. He just went out to the garage and and after a big MEOW(we think it was a good-bye and thank you), in a few hours, he just went to sleep, very peacefully.

My daughter and I want to thank you and your staff for keeping "Felix" with us for so many years of compassionate care. He adopted us as a stray 20 years ago and made himself at home. Alyson was 4, and now is 24, so "Felix" was a big part of her life. He was full grown at that time so we aren't sure how old he was when he died. But, even, all the way to the end, he was very spry and would chase around our younger cats. He was always the BOSS.

When I brought him to you, many years ago, I was ready to put him down. I had been hand feeding him and giving him water through an eye dropper for a few days just to keep him alive, but decided this was not the life he would have wanted. He was always so active and never stopped eating!

You did a few test and said that he could get well with some medication and he did. For many years, he took the shots every 6 weeks like a trooper, and then developed Diabetes. He would need to have insulin shots two times a day, which again, he took like a trooper for 3 years. He diligently visited you for a Glucose Curve every so often and always seemed to do whatever he had to do to stay with us.

He had no teeth, but kept eating...he was blind but still ran after our kitties, "Daphne" & "Kyra". We miss him, his antics and his strong will to live. He is buried in our back yard and we talk about him often.

Please thank you staff for their care of "Felix". I just know that he knew his visits to the clinic were no big deal because he was loved. Dr. Diamond, we appreciate you and your support.

I know that I always tell you how wonderful you are to "Nala" and I. But just by the amount of patients you have tells me that other clients feel the same way! You never make us feel like you are rushed. You make sure that we know you care for each and every pet. I have raised many dogs and went to many vets in my lifetime. But never had such a wonderful vet as you. It is very hard to compare any vet to you, because you my friend, are in a class of your own! God bless you, Dr. Diamond.
